An unusual Swiss 18K gold, rose diamond and paste-set, lady’s keyless pendant watch with mock pendulum and visible central balance, circa 1905. Made for the Chinese market. With a matte and polished case, and a scalloped band, the back cover is decorated with a rose diamond-set flower and a glazed central aperture for the visible balance with a paste-set surround. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions, surround in the form of a green enamel clock with gold paillon details, aperture for the mock pendulum. Gilt Louis XV hands, rhodium-plated movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator.
