Gold open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by Omega, circa 1905. It has a mechanical manual wind pendant movement with a lever escapement, a bimetallic compensation balance, and a Breguet balance spring. The white enamel dial shows elegant painted black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary small seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold hands. The timepiece is housed in a substantial three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a unique faceted case middle, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow. The inner gold cuvette is crafted from solid 18 carat yellow gold. The solid yellow gold back cover is a French made case intricately chased with naturalistic floral blossoms, detailed foliage, and flowing scroll motifs on a fine engine turned guilloché background.
