Gold full hunter cased watch from nobility property

An early and very fine 18 carat gold full hunter cased and numbered quarter hour repeater, former nobility property, made by Patek, Philippe in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1875. The plain numbered case of this watch was crafted from 18 Carat gold and has the Patek, Philippe punch. The white enamel dial has black five minute Arabic numerals, black Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial with black Arabic numerals at six o’clock and blued steel hands. The movement has a high quality Patek, Philippe precision lever escapement with a quarter hour repeater and wolf’s toothing.
Case, cuvette and movement with matching numbers and the cuvette is signed.

The current polished plain à goutte (waterdrop shape) gold case was originally decorated with an applied gold nobility monogram and a gift inscription on the spring lid. Both were professionally removed in the post war period.
