An early French rose gold precision Ankerchronometer pocket watch, circa 1870. The watch features an exquisite lever chronometer movement with a large chronometer balance and wolf’s toothing. It has an enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, Arabic five-minute markers, subsidiary seconds, and rose gold hands. The case is plain, monogrammed, 18-carat gold, and the cuvette is signed and numbered. The watch comes with a wooden sales box bearing the signature of the retailer Olivier in Rennes.
