A fine, elegant and oversized Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever dress watch, circa 1955. The rhodium plated, keyless movement features Geneva Striping decoration, signed Vacheron Constantin, Genève. It includes 17 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, a cut bimetallic compensation balance that is adjusted for temperature variations, a blued steel self compensating Breguet balance spring, and a whiplash regulator. The silvered dial, also signed Vacheron Constantin, Genève, has applied gold baton indexes, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, and original gold baton hands. The polished 18k pink gold open faced case has a flat bezel, a stepped band, and a snap on back, and it is signed Vacheron Constantin on the inside.
