An attractive large verge gold plated pocket watch with three cases, made for the Ottoman market by Edward Prior in London, Great Britain, circa 1820. It has an outer case covered with tortoiseshell, both inner cases are smooth and the back case is engraved with hallmark JD, an enamel dial with Ottoman numerals and original hands and a magnificent beautifully decorated English verge movement with a cock with the initials EP for Edward Prior.
