A very big and early English silver verge watch with 4 cases for the Ottoman market, circa 1778.
Four cases: 1st case silver, engraved, curved, different weapons, Star of David on back, hinge slightly damaged; 2nd case with tortoiseshell decoration (small defects and missing pin decoration); 3rd case English hallmarks 1778; 4th case also punched. Splendid verge movement, bridge with initials GP for George Prior, extravagant pillars. Signed champlevé dial with Ottoman numerals and original hands.
