The Touchon & Co trademark was established around 1907 and ceased in 1921 as an independent entity before being incorporated into a larger company ( Wittnauer ). In their short lifespan, Touchon made watches of a staggeringly high quality. Such high quality was very expensive to produce and very few people could afford them. Tiffany & Co were one their main customers which added to their exclusivity and expensive nature. Touchon watches were every bit as good as Patek Philippe and much more exclusive as they were only produced for 14 years…. After the incorporation with Wittnauer, watch production continued for a few years under Wittnauer supervision, but these watches were built down to a price and no match for ‘pure’ Touchons. In the end, demand ceased and the name simply vanished into history.
