Gold verge watch with matching chatelaine by John Rich

An English antique gold and agate verge pocket watch embellished with diamonds and rubies, and with matching chatelaine, circa 1750.
The watch has a full plate movement and features a balance cock that is pierced and engraved, along with a silver regulation disc and a verge escapement. The dial is made of enamel and has Roman radial hours, an outer minutes track with Arabic numerals for five-minute intervals, and hands that are pierced and made of blued steel set with diamonds. The case is made of gold, agate and is decorated with diamonds and rubies. Additionally, the watch comes with a chatelaine that matches its design. The movement is signed.
