Gold  pocket watch with double case and chatelaine

An English 18 carat yellow gold, enamel, and diamond set pocket watch made by Barraud in London, circa 1820. The watch features a mechanical movement with key winding and an openworked, chased cock centred with a rose cut diamond. It is signed and numbered Barraud LONDON 1597. English hallmarks include London and letter date K. The cream enamel dial has Arabic numerals, a minute track, and gold hands. The removable double 18 carat yellow gold guilloché case displays a white enamelled starry frieze and a midnight blue enamelled back centred with an urn motif set with rose cut diamonds.

Accompanied by a chatelaine in yellow 18 carat gold and silver with braided cords. It includes an oval medallion containing a lock of hair and suspends five charms: two tassels, a snap hook, a blood jasper seal numbered Harriet, and a winding key. The chatelaine features guilloché and midnight blue enamel decoration, with floral and foliate friezes set with rose cut diamonds.
