An English heavy 18 carat lever watch in a gold open faced case, circa 1825. Full plate gilt key wind fusee high grade movement with dust cover and two screwed chatons. Plain cock with end stone, compensation balance with screws, steel spiral hairspring, polished steel regulator, lever escapement. Movement signed Ja. Whitelaw Edinburgh.
White enamel dial, black Roman numerals, gilt hands, subsidiary seconds. 18 Carat open faced case with plain bezels, plain back and ribbed middle. Winding through the back, back cover opened by depressing a button in the gold pendant.
