An English gold keywind mechanical automaton pocket watch, circa 1710. The watch boasts a full plate verge movement made of gilt-brass. The dial is gold and enamel and features Roman radial hours, an outer arcaded minute ring with Arabic five-minute numerals, and blued steel hands. The case is made of multicoloured gold and enamel and is decorated with mother-of-pearl and engravings of a deer hunt, as well as apertures for the automaton. The word LONDON is inscribed in enamelled gold on the face of the watch.
