Silver verge quarter repeating on bell or à toc by F. Macaire

Very fine, rare and small English silver pair cased coach watch with quarter repeating on bell or à toc, circa 1780. Hinged, gilt full plate movement with turned baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three armed steel balance with flat balance spring, double footed cock, striking on bell with two hammers, repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant, silver dust cap. Silver dial with black Roman numerals, centre chased and engraved. Slightly damaged outer case very finely pierced, chased and engraved with flowers and animals, an inner case with polished bezel, pierced, chased and engraved with inhabited foliage, floral decoration. Dial, dust cap and movement signed. Comes with a suede and silver travel case.
