An English silver vermeil and rock crystal octagonal verge pendant watch from the 17th century. This watch features a verge escapement. Its annular dial, set against an engraved foliage background topped with a winged angel head, displays hours in Roman numerals and has a single blued steel hand. The case is made of silver vermeil and rock crystal, with a hinged bezel decorated with stylised dolphins. The reverse side is engraved and signed John Brooke, London.
