An English fine and rare solid 18 carat hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, circa 1882. High-quality bridge movement with gold chatoned centre wheel, wolf teeth winding wheels and an s-shaped special counterpoised lever and gold screw bimetallic compensation balance.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel double spade hands, subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock.
Polished hinged case with a push button to activate chronograph at 12 o’clock, push pendant to open front, gold cuvette with the following engraving: Examined by Willm Godfrey 19 Devonshirestreet Islington London.
