A very fine English 18 carat gold pair cased quarter repeating pocket watch with fine repoussé scene, circa 1750. The gilt full plate movement with a verge escapement, decoratively pierced and engraved balance cock, fusee and chain, a three arm balance, blued steel hairspring and round pillars, repeating on a bell activated by pushing the pendant. White enamel dial with Roman hour markers, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals and blued steel beetle & poker hands. A pierced and engraved inner case and the further repoussé outer case depicting Diana as Huntress also pierced with sound holes.
