A very fine English 14 carat gold pair cased quarter repeating verge watch with fine repousse scene, circa 1750, fire gilt full plate movement, verge escapement with silver dust cover, decoratively pierced and engraved masked balance cock, fusee and chain, three-arm balance, blued steel hairspring, square baluster pillars, repeating on a bell, activated by pushing the pendant, bell sounds clearly.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track, blued steel hands. Pierced and engraved inner case with winding aperture, outer case pierced and chased with repousse decoration.
