A French fine  and rare gold, enamel and pearl set verge watch with chatelaine, circa 1790, gilt verge movement, balance cock, silver dial for regulator.
White enamel, Arabic numerals, gold beetle and poker hands, case back with translucent purple enamel over an engine turned starburst background, pearl-set decoration with front and back bezel, chatelaine composed of one section overlaid with translucent purple enamel, spaced by split pearl-set and translucent enamelled purple links, terminating in two matching tassels, a key and a fob seal.
