A French Oignon verge watch with alarm in a open work gilt case, circa 1710. Full plate fire gilt fusee movement, Egyptian pillars. Pierced and engraved bridge cock, three-arm steel balance with spiral blue steel hairspring.  Large silver engraved regulator disc with steel indicator.
White enamel dial with black Roman numerals and Arabic outer, blued steel hands, inside ring marked for the hours and quarters, outer ring marked for the minutes. Wound through the dial with steel hands. Two barrels. Fine open work gilt case and bezel, decorated with foliage.
