A fine Swiss, quarter repeater 18K gold and champlevé enamel lady’s pendant watch, circa 1840. The bezel is decorated with floral motif engraving, the back cover with polychrome champlevé enamel flowers and foliage on a black enamel ground. Repeating through the crown. Hinged gold cuvette. Silver dial, engine-turned with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold Breguet hands. A matte gilt movement, Lepine calibre, cylinder escapement, plain three arm gilt balance with a parachute, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
