A fine Swiss, 14k rose gold, hunting cased, keyless, minute repeating watch with concealed erotic automaton, circa 1890. Made for the Russian market. A solid, polished case. Hinged gold cuvette concealing the polychrome painted on enamel erotic automaton scene depicting a gentleman and a lady on an engraved silvered backplate.  White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and red Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Movement signed under the hour hammer.
