An elegant 18 carat yellow gold minute repeating keyless dress watch, circa 1940. Made for Spaulding & Co. A solid, polished case with a hinged case back. Hinged gold cuvette. Matte silver dial with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Dial and movement signed. Dial, cuvette and movement also signed Spaulding & Co.
