French 18 Carat gold Oignon with elaborate relief case Circa 1700

An exceptional Oignon shaped pocket watch with elaborate relief case, made by Minoche in Paris, France, circa  1700. The exceptionally beautiful relief case, with a representation of a mythological scene and on the rim representations of various masks is crafted from 18 Carat gold. The very beautiful cartouche dial has Arabic five minute numerals, Roman hour numerals and iron hands. The early fine movement with Egyptian pillars, has a balance bridge with representation of masks and animals and a filigree silver decoration.
