An open faced pocket watch with extremely rare caliber made by Mathieu Albaret in Paris, France, circa 1790. The case of this watch, which is crafted from 18 carat gold, has the maker’s mark J.B.C. and a sunray back with a blank cartouche in the center. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track and moon hands. The unusual movement is glazed and has a verge escapement.
