Gold and bloodstone quarter repeater

An early and extremely rare quarter repeating verge pocket watch with bloodstone case made by Hervé in Paris, France, circa 1750. The open faced case of this watch is crafted from bloodstone mounted in 18 carat gold. The white enamel Louis XV dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track and Arabic five minutes, the hands are missing. The numbered movement has a verge escapement repeating the hours and quarter hours.
The movement is signed.
