Gold lever watch with Napoleon Bonaparte medal

A French 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch with an associated chatelaine made by E. Burkhart in Paris in the late 19th century. This watch features a mechanical movement with crown winding, a lever escapement, spiral balance and an advance/retard adjustment. It has a white enamel dial displaying Roman numerals for hours and Arabic markers for the five minutes, along with a minute track and small seconds. The hinged case is smooth on the back and further includes a gold cuvette, signed E. Burkart Angelar 9 Boulevard Poissonnière Paris. It comes with an 18 carat gold and satin chatelaine featuring a medal depicting the effigy of Napoleon Bonaparte on Saint Helena.
