A fine French 18 carat yellow gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch, of French quality, late 19th century. This watch features a keywind mechanical movement striking hours and quarters on demand, fitted with a Breguet balance spring and a lever escapement. The white enamel dial displays painted Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and arrow style hands. The 18 carat yellow polished gold case features an inner case also crafted from 18 carat yellow gold.
