It has a crown wound mechanical movement with a cylinder escapement and an advanced delay setting. The enamel dial shows Roman numerals for the hours, a pearled outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial, and Louis XV style hands. The round case is hinged, with a gold bowl and a back engraved with a monogram of initials in English letters.
