A fine French large 18 carat gold pocket watch with translucent enamel, circa 1790. Decorated bezel, a fine translucent royal blue guilloché enamel panel on the back with a classical en grisaille scene, white enamel border with gold paillon decorated to match the bezel. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and decorative gold hands. Hinged gilt-brass full plate movement, verge escapement, fusee with chain, pierced and engraved balance cock with polished steel coqueret, silver regulation disc with blued steel indicator. Dial and movement signed.
