Gold open faced lever watch

A fine French two tone gold open faced pocket watch made by LIP, dating from the Art Deco period, circa 1930. It has a mechanical hand wound movement with lever escapement. The silvered dial shows applied gilt Arabic numeral hour markers, an outer beaded minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt hands. The dial is signed LIP. The 18 carat gold case features a two tone construction with a rose gold bezel with coin edge texture and a contrasting white gold or silver toned triangular bow.
