Gold open faced keyless cylinder watch with neck chain
–
A fine and rare French 18 carat yellow gold open faced ladies’ pendant watch with chatelaine style neck chain, made by Boucheron, circa 1880. This watch has a mechanical manual wind pendant movement with a traditional cylinder escapement. The white enamel dial shows Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track with red Arabic five minute numerals, and gold hands dotted with diamond cut roses. The timepiece is housed in a delicate 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a polished bezel, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow. The inner gold cuvette is crafted from solid 18 carat yellow gold and is historically engraved Fvc. Boucheron 151, 152, 153, 154 Royal Paris.

The watch comes with its original signed leather presentation box, containing a matching delicate 18 carat yellow gold chatelaine style neck chain embellished with small faceted gold beads, a decorative small seal, a vinaigrette, and a dedicated pointer for setting the time.
