Engraved silver and gilded brass watch with date; movement signed by N. Lemaindre, Blois, France, circa 1620-1630. An early and rare, one-handed oval French pendant watch with two separate dials, one for the minutes with Arabic numerals and the other one for hour time with Roman numerals. An oval, silver with fire gilt brass case, The back is lost, the signed movement is an oval full plate movement with a  gut/fusee, a verge escapement, an applied click work and a plain two-arm iron balance without balance spring.
