An oval French single-handed pre-balance spring Puritan style pendant watch, circa 1620.
Brass fire gilt case with hinged back lid with engraved sun dial for controlling and decorated with engraved laurel wreaths. Brass fire gilt dial with engraved radial Roman numerals and iron hand. Signed fire gilt full plate movement with gut/fusee, verge escapement, three-arm brass ring balance and pierced balance cock with mascaron.
