A French gilt metal and painted on enamel pocket watch with a concealed erotic scene, circa 1800. A polished case, the back cover opening to reveal the erotic scene depicting a soldier and a lady in a compromising position, paillon border. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, winding aperture at 2. Gilt hands. Matte gilt full-plate movement, fusee and chain, pentagonal baluster pillars, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial. Movement signed.
