A French yellow gold and enamel open faced verge watch with calendar, circa 1790, full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, hinged dust cap.
White enamel, Breguet numerals, inner track for date indication, later added case back with central enamel plaque depicting Christ before his crucifixion receiving the Crown of Thorns, framed with rose-cut diamonds, dial, dust cap and movement bearing the signature Breguet à Paris.
