A decorative, French gold enamel verge pocket watch with matching chatelaine with signet and key in its original box, circa 1790.
18-carat rose gold case, the backside decorated with gold paillon stars on a translucent cobalt blue, engine-turned ground and the bezels with white enamel borders with gold flowers on a blue background. Signed enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals and Louis XVI hands. Gilt, full plate movement, keywind and signed, chain/fusee, solid movement pillars, three-arm brass balance and fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
