Gold and platinum open faced keyless lever watch

A fine French 18 carat gold and platinum open faced pocket watch with matching floral brooch pin chatelaine made by Cartier in Paris, circa 1910. This watch has a small mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed Cartier. The engine turned grey guilloché enamel dial shows elegant black Arabic numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, and blued steel hands, signed Cartier.

The timepiece is housed in an exquisite round case with a reverse side adorned with alternating translucent white enamel and gold stripes. It features a central rose cut diamond floral rosette cluster, a bezel intricately set with calibrated rubies framed by spiraling tracks of rose cut diamonds, and a fluted winding crown. It is suspended from a matching unsigned stylized gold and silver floral chatelaine brooch pin with dual openwork flowers set with calibrated rubies and rose cut diamond accents.
