A very interesting, early gold verge watch with calendar and seconds by Jean-Baptiste Paris, circa 1773-1787. An 18 carat gold, high grade and solid case with five part lateral hinge, signed verge movement with extravagant fine adjusting device, original enamel dial with week day and date indication, rare subsidiary seconds, original gold hands,  in working order. Early calendar watches are rare with 18 carat gold cases, especially in combination with subsidiary seconds.
