A fine French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1835. Gilt bridge movement with cylinder escapement, gilt three-arm balance with endstone and blued steel indicator.
18 Carat engine-turned gold case with engine-turned band, gold dome signed: LeRoy & Fils Horloges du Roi a Paris (Watchmaker to the king) striking mechanism activated by pushing the pendant, striking mechanism with 2 hammers and two gongs.
Dial silver with engine-turned middle, radial Roman numerals and minute outer, blued steel Breguet hands.
