Gold open faced cylinder pendant watch

A fine French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced pendant watch made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1835. The pendant and bow are decorated with black, blue and green champlevé enamel, the back cover features multicoloured champlevé enamel flowers on a black ground and the case has a further hinged gold cuvette. Sunray engine turned dial with champlevé Roman numerals, a gold Breguet hand and blued steel trident hand. A matte gilt Lépine caliber movement with four jewels, cylinder escapement, three arm balance, flat balance spring and an index regulator. Cuvette signed.
