A rare French 18K gold and enamel lady’s brooch and armorial pendant watch, circa 1835. With a varicoloured gold and enamel detachable brooch in the form of a heraldic shield. The back is finely engraved on gold with a coat of arms, royal blue translucent enamel background over sunray engine-turning and a hinged gold cuvette. The brooch of yellow and white matte gold, the centre set with a champlevé enamel shield of a lily flanked by antlers, very finely chased foliate and lily border, surmounted by a plumed helmet. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and gilt Breguet hands. A gilt brass movement, bar calibre, six jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt three-arm balance, flat balance spring, and an index regulator.
