An excellent and very rare French gold enamel open faced pocket watch with quarter repeater, circa 1835. Gilt Lepine calibre with cylinder movement, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, three-arm brass balance, plain balance bridge. Push pendant to activate quarter repeating.
18 Carat gold case with ribbed band, three gold covers The back is completely covered with a beautiful polychrome enamel painting, depicting a winged putto playing the harp for a lady in a garden with roses and doves around her on a light blue sky.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer minute divisions, gold Breguet hands.
