A decorative French, 18 carat gold and enamel key winding pocket watch, circa 1790. The case back showing a mythological allegory, most probably Minerva (or Athena), helmeted, with her lance and shield. The painting on enamel on gold, attributable under reserve to Jean-Louis Richter (1766-1841). The border with geometrical pattern decoration. White enamel dial with suspended Arabic numerals and yellow gold pierced hands. Gilded brass movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, gilded brass monometallic balance and blued steel flat hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental cock. The dial and movement are signed.
