A very fine and rare French, Louis XV, 18K gold pocket watch with painted on enamel concealed erotic scene, circa 1750. In a Louis XV case, the bezel chased with a repeated design, polished hinged back cover, opening to reveal the inner dome and painted on enamel scene of a couple in their boudoir, engraved border. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Pierced gold hands. A matte gilt, full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental pierced and chased cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial.
