Gold, enamel watch with gilt metal chatelaine

A fine French, 18K gold and enamel, quarter repeating à toc pocket watch with a gilt metal chatelaine and gold coin fob, circa 1760. A Louis XV case, the bezel decorated with an engraved repeated pattern, the back with a monogram of interlaced “C’s” beneath a Vicomte’s coronet on a royal blue guilloche enamel oval ground, border of green champleve enamel leaves, outer border to match the bezel.

White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large Arabic five minute numerals. Gilt Louis XV hands. A gilt full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial, repeating on blocks in the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed.
