A French decorative verge pocket watch with a very finely painted enamel medallion set with half pearls, circa 1790.
18 carat pink gold case with engraved bezel, the back side with an oval, half pearl-set, polychrome enamel panel depicting a young lady and large lateral hinge. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours and blued lozenge hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, with chain/fusee, baluster movement pillars, three-arm brass balance and a fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
