A French yellow gold squared shaped open faced pocket dress watch, circa 1925. The watch features a rhodium plated 15″ ligne movement with a lever escapement and 19 jewels. It has a silvered dial adorned with radial Roman numerals, an inner minute track, and blued steel Breguet style hands. The square case is made of 18 carat yellow gold with rounded corners, engraved striping, and a snap on case back engraved with a coat of arms and a personally inscribed inner case back. Cartier signs the dial, and European Watch and Clock Co sign the case and movement.

The case shows signs of use throughout, commensurate with its age. The case back is engraved with a coat of arms. The inside of the case back is inscribed with CW.P. May 26, 2003 and G.G. Frelinghuysen Jr. July 25, 1927. The Cartier number and gold mark on the bow are rubbed but still visible. The dial displays visible signs of age throughout, with dust floating around it, including a large dust ball. The movement is not running.
