Very fine watch with observatory test certificate

A very fine gold full hunter cased watch with observatory test certificate and original box, made by Julius Assmann in Glashütte, Sachsen, Germany, circa 1891. The numbered plain case of this watch is crafted from 14 carat gold and has factory glazing. The white enamel dial has Arabic red five minute and black hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial, also with red Arabic numerals, at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The numbered movement has a very fine design with factory glazing, a precision lever escapement with gold lever and a gold escapement wheel.
Case and movement have matching numbers and dial, movement and box are signed.

This particular watch came with the original box, including two spare glasses with original inscription, a spare nib and also the numbered original papers and the extremely rare test certificate from the Leipzig observatory from 1891.
