Pocket watch with precision lever escapement

A hard to find half hunter case quality 1A watch, made by Carl Moritz Grossmann in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1895. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from 14 carat gold and has a monogram on the back lid. The white enamel dial has an outer ring with red Arabic 5 minute numerals, black Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The numbered movement is marked “Glashütte bei Dresden” and is fitted with a Glashütte precision lever escapement in best quality 1A, screwed gold chatons, a gold lever and a gold escape wheel.
The case and movement have matching numbers.
