A high quality, grade 1A precision pocket watch made by Julius Assmann Deutsche Präzisions-Taschenuhren-Fabrik in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1895. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold. The white enamel dial features Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original gold hands. The numbered quality 1A movement is equipped with a lever escapement, screwed gold chatons, gold lever and gold escape wheel.
The case and movement bear matching numbers, and the dial, case and movement are signed.
